GarageBand on iPad 1

I purchased a keyboard and docking station that is compatible with my iPad 1. I'm trying to download GarageBand from the App Store and it says I have wrong operating system. I recently reset this IPad to remove my husband's apps and know I used GarageBand on it previously. What can I do?
