how to download aperture 3 from the internet
After a crash intalling maverick, I lost Aperture. My Mac Book Pro CD drive was replaced with memory so I need to download from the internet instead of from the disc.
Thanks

This may be a little trickier than it first seems. If the update to Mavericks had completed and you updated Aperture from the App store, Aperture would have become recognised as one of you App purchases and would become available for download from the store. But until this is done, it only shows in the store as available for purchase.
It sounds like you didn't get far enough into the process for this to happen, but it might be worth checking your purchases tab in the Mac App store to see if it shows up.
If not, your easiest solution may be to find a friend with a DVD drive in their Mac and use the DVD drive sharing feature to install to your Mac from the drive in your friends.
Failing that, Apple have removed the most known links to the Aperture 3 download so you are unlikely to find one, but you might get lucky.

The only download of stand-alone Aperture installers that Apple offers currenty is from the AppStore. But to be able to restore from the AppStore for free, you need to at least install the Aperture version from your installer CD. Or restore the version from your crashed disk from your backup, if your backup included the Applications folder.
Do you still have the Aperture 3 installer disk and serial number? Then find someone who owns a computer with a CD drive and clone the Aperture installer to a thumbs drive or write a disk image to a portable drive. Then you can reinstall Aperture 3.1 from the thumbs drive and then directly upgrade to Aperture 3.4.5 from the Support page. This will let you run Aperture on Mavericks, so you can enter your registration code. Aperture 3.1 from your installer media cannot be executed on Mavericks, but its presence in the Applications folder will be sufficient to let you upgrade from the Support page to Aperture 3.4.5.
After that, you can upgrade to 3.5 from the AppStore, to have the current Mavericks compatible version.
If someone in your household owns a mac with a CD drive, you could try to use their CD drive remotely with CD Sharing.
