Mavericks can't be started from this disk

Hi guys.

I am trying to install mavericks but when I am in the installation I can not select my disk. It just says Mavericks can't be startet from this disk. I have read numerous articles and here's what I can confirm:

I am runnning Snow Leopard with the latest updates.

My Macbook is compatible. It is a Aluminum Macbook with model identifier Macbook5.1.

I tried resizing the partition as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3926

I can confirm that the disk is partitioned using GUID. The partition is mac os extended (jornaled). There is enough free space.

I did try to download the installer app several times with no success.

When launching the installer from the console I see an error:

Install OS X Mavericks[16354:903] Error loading /Applications/Install OS X Mavericks.app/Contents/PlugIns/IACoreStorage.IABundle/Contents/MacOS/IACoreStor age: dlopen(/Applications/Install OS X Mavericks.app/Contents/PlugIns/IACoreStorage.IABundle/Contents/MacOS/IACoreStor age, 265): Library not loaded: /usr/lib/libcsfde.dylib

Referenced from: /Applications/Install OS X Mavericks.app/Contents/PlugIns/IACoreStorage.IABundle/Contents/MacOS/IACoreStor age

Thanks for your help!
