How Do You Get A S.M.A.R.T Error?

Hey guys,

I've read alot about these smart errors but none of the forums say how you could possibly get one.

I hope someone can clear this out for me.

Thanks

Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology (SMART) is used to monitor and communicate the status of hard disk performance, and in some cases when a hard drive issue is anticipated.

SMART-enabled devices monitor data such as disk calibration, CRC messages, disk spin up time, rotational speed of the disk, distance between the head and the disk, and temperature.
