authorize ssh access

I have a macbook with broken monitor, running Snow Leopard. it is configured to be accessed only by personal file sharing, not remote login. so, I can access and edit remotely the files. what authorization file should I edit, to change the permissions so that I can make remote login?

before buying a new mac, I would like to run remotely iCal and some other applications, to restore some information not easily readable in the files

MacBook (13-inch Mid 2009), Mac OS X (10.6)
