MPEG Streamclip can
create (export) to MPEG-1 format?
I must have missed that one. Please show me how Kyn.
I would use Toast. Older versions even include an export to MPEG-1 option directly in QuickTime Pro. I don't know about the newer versions but I have it (Movie to Toast Video CD) as an option.
This makes an .mpg file.
Toast could also be used (no need to actually burn the CD). Just let it do the work and then rename the blah.DAT file to blah.mpg.
My mistake 🙂 I've used it to create mpg's before, but only when starting with .mpg's. I just tried dropping a movie file onto it and, just as you say, Convert to MPEG is NOT available!
