When you unblock someone can you receive the messages they sent while they were blocked
I want to see what they sent while blocked .

What?
Look, this is the way that blocking was designed to work, and that it does work. Fanciful versions or variations have no weight here. Tell Apple if you don't like it: Apple - Feedback. Works as designed. Someone bullying you? Block them. Someone stalking you? Block them. Someone interfering with your life in a way that makes you scared, unhappy, or scared? Block them. Otherwise, find some other thing to do whatever it is you want to do. But whatever that might be, it isn't to protect yourself, and Blocking is designed to do just that.

You wouldn't because you may be tempted to respond, and you may also want to take a break from that person, and not read what they say to you at all for a period of time.
I wouldn't what? If I block people it's because I never want to hear from them again and have no interest in what they want to say.
The answer is that when you unblock someone, you cannot retrieve messages that sent while you were blocked.
This is not a blog. It is a user to user technical support forum, and you really shouldn't make judgements about a single post in a conversation that you have no context for.

I'm just being honest. With the blocking and unblocking feature ,, I drive myself insane I have had a relationship that has been off and on for four years or more.
Not a healthy one. And what I do every time I get crushed and I stupidly go back I'll block him and then miss him and unblock him. It's ridiculous actually..... I don't know why I threw that entire story out there. But I'm the past wen I've unblocked him or someone on the phone it didn't take long at all for him to be able to get through. You can do it through Verizon app !! And it states it last for 90 days and lol with that as well I've blocked him and wanted to know once I would stupidly unblock him if it would still take the 90 days. Idk time to let go. Sorry for throwing my life story out there.

Technology has made it possible for us to torture ourselves in ever newer and more insidious ways. That we can now follow the object of our affections on social media and see that they're having lots of fun that doesn't involve us is but one of the many ways we can hold on to something we should have long ago let go of.
It's hard to let go. But, until you do, you're unlikely to find either someone who will bring happiness to your life or to learn how to be happy with your self.
I wish you all the best.
Not as far as I have seen with blocking. There is no cache - if you blocked them, their messages were not saved or delivered to your account - they are gone.
This was a great question! I hope apple actually reads the comments to better the next device, I actually would like to be able to see what the block messages say or how many times they've called.

No, they don't read these posts. Submit your feedback directly to Apple using the appropriate link on the Feedback page:
Seems a little odd that, if you want someone out of your life enough to block them, you'd want to keep track of how often they were messaging you. Why not just unblock them, give them silent ring tones and not respond?
me too lol i agree with taylor i wanna see what was sent during time they blocked from contacting me!

Uh, yes. You could use Do Not Disturb for that.
k thanks 😉
It depends if the person have an apple product you will be able to receive the messages after unblocking them. From what I have experienced I received my messages a week later.
