Thoughts on the new Focusrite Liquid Mix, Convolution Eq and Compression?

I haven't been terribly impressed with the compressors in Logic, but thats at least partially my fault. Still, I love space designer, and if this convolution unit sounds as good for compression and eq, I think I need it. They are supposed to be shipping already. Has anyone tried one out?

Actually I don't really like it. The Eqs are decent but compressors are way too slow IMO. Better than Logic's but still.. I have one in my studio right now as well as the SSL duende and the SSL is superior in every way. I'm aware that's it's twice the price, but it's money well spend, I think. I also have UAD and would prefer LA2A and 1176 anyday over the liquid mix. It's such a shame cause i was really looking forward to it.

And when it comes down to it, it really isn't such a great idea having that many different types of emulations to choose from. They should have put all there strength in building one that sounded great.

Just my couple of cents, of course...
