i lost several emails while working on a flight- in airplane mode. when i finished i sent them assuming that they would go straight to my outbox as drafts and would be sent as soon as i was online again. but they vanished! i sent them to myself. they never appeared and are nowhere to be found. any ideas about where to find them and if not, what did i do wrong?
The old emails are lost. We're trying to prevent it from happening again. Turn airplane mode on. Send yourself an email. Check to see if it's in sent. Turn airplane mode off and see if you receive the the letter in inbox. Or write a letter, when you're done press cancel, then tap save as draft. If it happens at airports then don't turn airplane mode off until you're away from the airport. Good luck. Happy Thanksgiving.
I tried what you described and it worked so I!m not sure why yours didn't. To prevent it from happening again choose cancel then save as draft. When you get to a wifi location tap drafts then your letter and you can send it. Practice a few times before flying again.
I found the problem, mail sent while in airplane mode gets stored in outbox not drafts.
they are not in the outbox either... any thoughts? someone else says that it sometimes happens at airports....
