I want to download maverick but apple won't let me without a credit card and it's supposed to be free. What can I do ?
Mac mini (Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.6.8)
You have to have an App Store account to download anything there. They won't charge you for the free stuff, but they may ask you for a password.
