Q: How long do I have to purchase applecare

Buying a iPad for my daughter do I need to get the AppleCare now or can I get it after Christmas when she first registers it?

    Generally, regular apple care can be bought in the first year. APple Care plus needs to be bought at the time of purchase. You can buy it within 30 days however your device must be inspected by an Apple employee. This is because Care Plus has an accidental damage clause  and they want to make sure you're not buying it after it's already broken.
