Can you explain a bit more what your setup is like?

Do you have one of these devices?  http://www.uscellular.com/mobile-hotspots/index.html

If so, can your iPad find it?  What happens when you attempt to connect?

Give as much detail as possible about your setup so that we can help you out.

I have the older hot spot.  The iPad keeps asking me for a password for my hot spot and I don't know it.  How do I find that out?  That is keeping me from going any further.

Reboot both the hotspot (power it off then back on) and your device (hold down the home button along with the power button until you see the Apple, then let go). Now see if you can connect.

Just tried it.  Didn't work.  I get to where it shows the "Choose a Network..."  It shows the connection is secure, but does not give me the option to put in the password for the Hot Spot.  It also shows "other" and "Connect to iTunes".  I can't get pass this page.

If you tap on the connection name does it not attempt to connect?

The list should look something like this:

    wificonn.jpg

If you tap on the name of the network, then it should attempt to connect and ask for a password.

If it does not ask for a password, try tapping on the blue I in a circle to get the connection properties, and then tap on "Forget This Network".  Then try to connect again. It should bring up a box asking for the password.

As to where to find the password, the hotspots usually have a default password setup.  Usually it can be found in the user guide or quick start guide that comes with the hotspot.
