80GB iPod Classic won't turn on

Hello, my old 6th gen 80gb ipod classic has stopped turning on. I left it to charge one night and when I woke up it was incredibly hot to touch and showed no signs of turning on. I left it alone to cool down for a while and tried connecting it to my computer. It will not turn on nor does it show up as a connected device. Is there any fixing this?
