Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

iTunes alert says that the required disk cannot be found when trying to import a CD.

I've purchased three new CD's, when I try to import them into my iTunes using the standard promt of AAC Encoder I get the following error message

Error Occurred while converting the file The required disk cannot be found.

Any advice?

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

This can occasionally happen, if iTunes cannot find your iTunes library. Do you keep your iTunes library on an external drive? Then check, if this drive is properly mounted. Does it appear on your desktop?


Sometimes simply rebooting will resolve problems with a drive that is not accessible. Also, check the settings for the location of your iTunes Media folder in the iTunes Preferences > Advanced panel:
