Q: The most recent iPod iOS update has messed up my iPod and now iTunes can't restore it.

I tried to download the most recent iOS update for the iPod touch. It wouldn't download and now my iPod won't restore. ITunes keeps saying it can't connect to the update server. What can I do? I've got the most recent version of iTunes, disabled my security software, restarted everything and unhooked everything but my iPod. I don't know what to do!!!! It just will not 'verify the restore with Apple'

Try:
- Powering off and then back on your router.
- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
Public DNS — Google Developers
OpenDNS IP Addresses
- For one user uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes resolved the problem
- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem
