Local Snapshots Missing?

Is it just me, or is Local Snapshots missing from Mavericks?

With, say, Mountain Lion, when I was out and about with my MBP and not connected to my Time Machine volume, the machine kept local snapshots which I could peruse via the usual Time Machine interface. Now when I try it I am simply told that the Time Machine volume is not connected. Anybody else seen this?

Thanks.

Not just you. Local snapshot are there if your TM is "on" like you are use to with previous OSX.

This is a known bug in Mavericks (Bug ID# 15489881.)

It seems to work occassionally; try changing the focus, ie click on the desktop to be in the Finder and try again or change to a app and try again.
