Jun 7, 2015 4:24 PM in response to spetzdudeby cyberbiker,The latest model is the Apple TV 3rd Gen RevA (also called Rev2), A1469.
From a functionality standpoint the big differences rom the 3rd Gen Model A1427 is that the 3rd Gen RevA (currently $69) has the Peer-to-peer AirPlay, as noted in the tech specs at http://store.apple.com/us/buy-appletv/appletv
On the Peer-to-peer AirPlay page at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204289 Apple states "You can stream content to your Apple TV (3rd generation rev A, model A1469 or later) with software version 7.0 or later."
From a hardware standpoint Apple upgraded the 3rd Gen RevA chip from the A5r2 to the A5. Details are at
