Itunes error while restoring iPod Touch 4th Gen

Ok well I bought a used iPod Touch 4th Gen from GameStop and it worked fine but the iOS was at 4.3.3 so I tried to update it but in the middle of the update I got an error message saying " The iPod "iPod" cannot be restored at this time because the iPod software update server could not be contacted or is temporarily unavailable." And now my iPod is stuck on the screen with the usb cable pointing towards the iTunes symbol and iTunes says its in Recovery Mode and needs to be restored but I keep getting that same error and now I can't even use it anymore 😟 Please help!

Update Server

Try:

- Powering off and then back on your router.

- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server

- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers

Public DNS — Google Developers

OpenDNS IP Addresses

- For one user uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes resolved the problem

- Try on another computer/network

- Wait if it is an Apple problem
