Ok.....I have two mac mini's now, and want to connect the older one with a DVD drive to the newer one, and be able to burn cd's using the older one connected to the new mac mini---any thoughts or where I might find information on how to do this?

User Firewire Target Disk Mode. Boot the old one into TDM. Put a disc in the optical drive and you should be able to access it from the other computer once the disc mounts. Then, there's always remote disk.
