Hi all, I am trying to transfer a playlist, (that is not in iTunes) from my old iPhone to my new one. I have found many articles about this, but they all pertain to older verisons of iTunes. I would like to avoid using third-party software if possible.
iPhone 4, iOS 7.0.4, 8GB, Black
Select the iPhone in iTunes. (If you cannot see the left sidebar iTunes menu View > Show sidebar)
Click the grey disclosure triangle the left of the iPhone name.
Select the playlist you want then right click > Export...
Save the file as a .xml to your desktop.
Then iTunes menu File > Library > Import Playlist...
I don't see the playlist in the sidebar under the iPhone......
I think I've solved my own problem, I created the playlist on the iPhone so iTunes treats it as an on-the-go playlist. iTunes doesn't recognize or sync on-the-go playlists. 😟

They sync back to iTunes automatically.
Yeah, that's what I thought I would have to do.
I think your right ! The other fixes here dont work.
I dont understand the point of the "on the go playlist".
When I sync my phone Itunes destroys the playlists.
Oops , I just updated to the latest iTunes and synced my phone expecting to have my play lists scrambled.
But everything worked perfectly this time. Now I'm upgrading the iOS. wish me luck !
