Can't find Canon MG6460 printer scanner software on my computer

I purchaesd a Canon MG5460 since the MP500 was no longer compatible. Since it only came with Windows software I downloaded the IJ printer scanner software but can't find it anywhere on my computer. I've done this several times, it downloads successfully but no luck Any ideas?

iMac (27-inch Mid 2010), OS X Mavericks (10.9), Canon Printer Driver

The files that you downloaded will reside in your Downloads folder. Have you run the installer for each of the files that you have downloaded?

If so, then the printer driver and scanner driver will copy to the Library/Printers/Canon folder, but to add the printer you open Printers and Scanners and click the plus button to add.

If you downloaded and installed MP Navigator, then this will reside in Applications > Canon Utilities.

Thanks Pahu. I tracked down the library but only after unplugging an external hard drive. Going to printers in System Preferences I added the Printer Scanner Driver (pressed +) and everything worked. I still can't see it in Applications or the Library but it's obviously there somewhere and working.

I downloaded Navigator 4.0.4 which is supposedly compatible with 10.9 but it didn't work. This is one for Canon.

I have a Canon MG5320 but didn't install the software for it. I originally did back with Lion or Mt Lion but uninstalled it. Just didn't care for it honestly.

But the way that I have it now. Is that I clicked on Printers and Scanners in System Preferences. Clicked on + to add a printer. It already had listed the Canon printer, so I clicked on that. It self installed the printer and I am about to see the ink level via Sys Pref--- Print & Scan--- Options & Supplies. Scan via Preview and Image Capture. To print, well that's with everything.

I had the same issue and discovered that the scanning works differently with mavericks

Download the latest pronter drivers as a first step

The printer will be installed twice in your devices, once as a printer and once as a scanner

You need to operate the scaning from the PC rather than selecting it from the printer (which won't give you a PC option only a USB option)
