Disabled iPhone 3gs

My father's iPhone 3gs has never been synced on a computer. And finally after five years he want's to take all of his pictures off of his phone. So when I tried to sync his phone, it says iPhone is disabled connect to itunes. So I connected it to itunes and it said I need to unlock the passcode on the phone. But I don't have the option to do that, I can only make emergency calls. Please help!
