iPhoto and photos wanished from MacBook Pro. Apple just offer to buy iPhoto.
The laptop was baught in 2010 with OS X ~10.6. Now it has OS X 10.9. I do not know how to recover the application and files.

Restore from your back up is the simple and obvious solution.
Nay, I have no back up. But the photos might be OK (cannot be sure without iPhoto), it is just the application went missing. And Apple do not seem to understand that the Pro had it pre-installed, there is basically no support out there.

If iPhoto came pre installed then go to the App Storel, sign in with the Apple ID you used to purchase the MBP or register it. Go to the Purchases section and you should be able to download it again at no charge.

Thanks, tried already. It seems that AppStore does not know anything about iPhoto on this Pro. It did not come from the AppStore, there is no iPhoto visible, they just give me an option to buy it. Perhaps I should really try to register the laptop again, but Apple seem to remember this computer as a >3 y.o. one, thus no free support...
In order to get iPhoto 9.5 free one must be running iPhoto 9+. If you never had iPhoto 9 then the iPhoto 9.5 upgrade is a purchase.
Otherwise you can to use the disks that came with the Mac to reinstall the iApps. The disk will look similar to one of these:

Without the disk(s) I do not seem to have much luck. Another hope, Apple tech support say is to find what Apple ID was used to 'accept' pre-installed iLife/iPhoto application in AppStore (multiple users!). Then, it can be downloaded from there
