Hello, A couple days ago i bought a Emac, i have leopard on a dual layer dvd but i cant use that on my emac.
it reads dvd's and cd's but not duallayers. if i insert it it's trying to read and eject it automaticly.
is there something i can do?

My emac is acting a bid weird but i know it has a Pioneer dvr 104
it has burnsupport.
and reads dvd's but i think i made a own misstake...
I bought DVD+R dual layer dvd's....
and i think i doesn't read + disks?

Is it a hard thing to replace the dvd drive in a emac?
Looks like no DL support at all.
It's not on;y hard, but finding an IDE optical drive may be futile.
An optical with Firewire/400 port may be a better option...

USB won't likely be bootable on PPC Macs.
No eMac or G4 model Macs could ever read Dual layer DVDs.
try dvd-r instead of dvd+r.
