Bookmarks get stuck open

I've been having a problem with the new Safari v7.0. The bookmarks sidebar opens fine, but sometimes it won't close. Pressing the bookmark icon on the toolbar does nothing, and the hide option doesn't do anything.

Possibly this occurs because I have lists of bookmarks that I check, so the process is this: Open bookmarks, click one, close bookmarks. Open, click, close, maybe ten or twenty times in a row. After a while, close stops happening. The tab in which this occured freezes completely, and the bookmarks stay open in all other tabs. The only way I've found to get rid of the annoying bookmarks sidebar is to restart safari.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Thanks.
