Why can't I open my iMovie app on my Notebook?

I have a Powerbook G4, and when I click on my iTunes apps, like iMovie, they won't open. I know iMovie is made for iPod, iPad, and iPhone, but I've seen a couple of my friends use it on their Notebooks before. Do I need to download something? Enable something? Please help!

PowerBook, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

You cannot run the iOS versions (for iPhone, iPad and iPod) on any computer - they simply are not compatible with any computer operating system.

You need the OS X versions for your powerbook - you should have gotten an iLife disc with your powerbook, which you can use to re-install the original versions if you have deleted them.
