Built in iSight Problems

(Macbook Air 11 inch, mid-2013)

Hi,

About a month ago I downloaded the 10.8.5 update and found that my iSight didn't work with skype anymore. I found this thread (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5306216?answerId=22979401022#22979401022) that explained that you needed to download a previous version of the applecamera.plugin and replace it. It gives a link so I downloaded it and sure enough it worked. Now I've updated to 10.9 and the camera still works with skype and other apps, but not reliably with chrome or safari. I think it's because of the outdated applecamera.plugin. Can someone give me a link to the newest version or just tell me how to fix this? I no longer have the plugin that I had before.

Thanks.

I just noticed this problem too. I had OSX 10.8.5 and just updated to 10.9.1. I had hoped to start recording a project in imovie this evening and ran into a little problem. Imovie 11 9.0.8 will not recognlize the isight camera. Very frustrating.

At first, I tried switching the project from 24fps to NTSC thinking, that must be the problem. Nope. It doesn't recognize the camera either way. Any suggestions? Just upgraded to MountainLion today. Any plug-ins, fixes rumored or already provided?

Thank you in advance.
