I am planning on getting the new Mac Pro (Dec 2013 model). I currently have a 30" Apple dispay (DVI) and wondered if I can use it with the new Mac Pro. Will the Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter work to connect them? It seems the Mac Pro only has HDMI and Thunderbolt output.

As the new Mac Pro has not been released yet, it's impossible to get an exact answer.

Yes, but you will need the dual-link adaptor.

Pro tip: Use an iPhone charger to power the adaptor. Using the computer for the USB power source can cause the display to flicker or become distorted if you plug in any devices that also draw significant power to work or charge.
