Logitech Harmony Remote asks for Silverlight and can't install for myharmony.com

I recently got a Logitech Harmony remote and ran into problems programming some of the buttons with the iPhone app. Logitech's solution was to use their web-based remote programming system at myharmony.com. However, I had a newer version of Silverlight than the one that is compatible with myharmony.com, and it was impossible to install the older version that Logitech provided because I kept getting an error saying that I had a newer Silverlight. So in order to get myharmony.com to work on my Mac, I did the following:

1. In Finder hit command+shift+G

2. In the go to folder type /private

3. Then delete the files associated with silverlight by dragging to trash:

1./private/var/db/receipts/com.microsoft.installSilverlightPlugin.bom

2./private/var/db/receipts/com.microsoft.installSilverlightPlugin.plist

3. /private/var/db/receipts/com.microsoft.SilverlightInstaller.bom

4. /private/var/db/receipts/com.microsoft.SilverlightInstaller.plist

Then delete these files too:

1.Mac HD/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/Silverlight.plugin

2. Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Silverlight

3. home/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/Silverlight.plugin

4. home/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Silverlight

Quit your browswer. Then go back to myharmony.com and install the version of silverlight they give you when you try to log in. You might need to restart your browser now. After that, you will think it didn't work becaue it will still want you to install something. But now, actually, it is a harmony pligun not silverlight. Install the harmony plugin and if you are lucky myharmony.com will allow you to program your remote now. That's what worked for me.

Then, I could go into myharmony.com and program the buttons that didn't work. Then, on the smartphone app I went to settings->sync now. After that, the buttons on the remote did what they were supposed to according the what I specified in myharmony.com. I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but if so, maybe this will help you too.
