Older versions of Pages?

Is there a way yo get older versions of Pages and Numbers? I have recently taken my Mac's back to LION and want to get the Pages and Numbers. I try to download them from my APP Store account but get an error message that says they only work on Mavericks.

Thanks

If you’ve already purchased the new iWork apps in Mavericks, you can try this trick to get Pages 4.3 & Numbers 2.3. First, delete the new versions & empty the Trash. Launch the Mac App Store in Lion then click on the 'install' buttons under the iWork apps. Sign in when prompted. You will get a message that you can't install the new version on this Mac but it will offer to download the previous version for you. Voilá, you have the self-contained apps that you can copy to another Mac or another hard drive or disk to use again.

When I do it I get the message that says;

"We could not complete your purchase. Pages can’t be installed on “OS-X” because Mac OS X version 10.9 or later is required."

There is no OPTION to download an erlier version.

I also revereter my computers back to LION.

One more try. Note, I'm doing this in Mountain Lion. I will not install Lion on any of my Macs. I assume it works in Lion, but it must be 10.7.4. I know it doesn't work in Snow Leopard, 10.6.8.

You must purchase the iWork apps in Mavericks first. If you have not done this, it will not work. It can be done on any Mac with your Apple ID & password.

On the Mac with Lion or Mountain Lion delete or compress then delete any versions of the iWork apps. Now launch the Mac App Store & click the Purchases tab. Click the Install button to the right of each app then sign into your Mac App Store account. You will then get the option to download the previous version.

If you still have the previous version on iTunes , yes. First, trash the new version on your iPad. Then connect iPad to iTunes. Go to apps, find Pages, click install, then apply.

If the older version is not on iTunes, you may still have it on one of your other devices. If so, back it up to your computer and it will Copy the older version of Pages to iTunes. Then proceed as above.

If you can't find a copy of the previous version, you can probably get Apple to help if you complain. The AppleCare folks are of variable expertise, but if they won't or can't help, make a Genius Bar apt. You may not get a genius, but if you get anyone knowledgeable and sympathetic, he will be able to restore the program for you. Note that you will have to complain quite a bit. Apple is trying to foist off this is begotten, buggy disaster on everyone, so they resist the effort to restore the previous version.

I figured out how you can get the old version of pages & it doesn't matter whether or not you have iwork or time machine or anything...All you need is the annoying new version already downloaded and a mac. (I did it on my macbook pro)

Step One: Click on your launchpad & drag the pages app to your trashcan.

Step Two: Go here http://support.apple.com/downloads/#pages and download the "Pages Endnote plug in v1.0"

Step Three: Go to your downloads, open/double click what you just downloaded and you should then be promted to click a few 'yes open, download, start, next, i agree' things.

Step Four: Go back to the website I gave you, download the "Pages 2.0.1" and double click/open it..(.nothing should happen if a window pops open click 'yes i agree, next-blahblahblah' if you dont have that option just close it)

Step Five: Go to your app store and download the pages app...you should be able to open your launchpad now and see the old pages icon (dark purple inkpot with inkpen) sparkling. Open and viola it's the old pages 🙂
