Can I stream from iTunes without storing the songs on my phone?

Hi everyone: I have a huge iTunes library and the songs/albums all show up on my 16GB iPhone 5, but I haven't physically downloaded a single tune. I want to be able to stream my music from my phone (so I don't have to carry my iPod with me), but I don't want ANY songs downloaded on my phone because I have so little storage at 16GB. When I stream, I sometimes see that my music storage volume (why I even have music storage volhas gone up a teensy bit, so that is what has prompted me to ask the community. My guy at the Genius bar didn't know the answer. Thanks.
