iphone 5s wont connect to server even though connected to internet
My iphone 5s and 4s has internet connection to home wifi but cannot get online, "cannot connect to server" continues to appear

I know you said you're able to connect to Wi-Fi, but I think some of the troubleshooting steps in the following document might still apply to your situation:
