i have an ipad midi. I have saved some pdf files in my ibooks, and when i go and read them i want to underline some phrases. When i click a single word, it gives me only three options : copy, define and search.

I don't think you can on a PDF on ipad iBooks, but get adobe reader, off of the App Store, there you should be able to highlight and underline. Hope this helps,

No, you'll need to use another PDF reader. PDF Expert and iAnnotate are two of my favorites.
Ok. No you can't underline text in iBooks on a PDF.
