Q: when i try to open my itunes store, it tells me the program has stopped working. What do i do?

My itunes opens and lists my music. It plays just fine and allows me to do playlists and stuff. However, when i try to go to the Itunes store, I get an error message that says the program has stopped and needs to be shut down. has anyone else had this problem and how do i fix it?
