How does one create data entry form for numbers mac osx.
It is easy with iOS Numbers.
Is the same funcntionality available for Mac OSX Numbers?

I have a spreadsheet of personal contact data (name, addresses) with 700+ rows.
I need to make numerous updates.
I'd like an easy data entry form to edit each row (record in a database).
In iOS it's east to create the data entry form, but I cant figure it out in Numbers 3.0.1 on my Macbook.
Hi Michael,
The easiest way might be to have one table and add new names and addresses to the bottom. When a cell in the last row is selected, the enter key will add a new row. Make the first row a Header Row. Then Menu > Table > Freeze Headers Rows to keep Row 1 in view as you scroll down.
Reopening after saving and closing will show the last view.

yellowbox, thanks for your reply but this is NOT a Data Entry Form like the one created in one click in iOS.
I need to EDIT old Data. The sheet has many colmns of data.
iWork doesnt offer a real Database although the new iOS version of Numbers creates a Form based on the header row for easy Data review and editing.
Sure would be nice if the new Numbers 3.0 would do the same!

The forms in Numbers for iOS are indeed handy, especially with the smaller display area.
Numbers 3.0 on the Mac does not have forms. But with the bigger screen area, adding and editing data right in a table can be more efficient.
One notable exception, I think, is if you are entering longish text values. In Numbers 3 you can of course Format > Text > Wrap text in cell. But then you can end up with a very long table that can be awkward to scroll through.
In iOS you can easily tap back and forth between a table with non-wrapping text:
and the data entry form based on it, which automatically wraps the text:
In your menu you could go to Numbers > Provide Numbers Feedback if you think this feature would be useful on the Mac as well.
