Q: How to download free apps for 5s?

I bought the 5s on Black Friday and activated. While going through the setup I declined to add the free apps, iPhoto, iMovie, pages, etc. Now that I want to add them, the App Store shows they cost $4.99. How can I download the apps without paying for them?

According to the article Chris posted,

If you tap Not Now when you see the offer, you can search for the apps in the store and download them one at a time for free.
So I would say go ahead and download them even if it shows $4.99, and it should pop up a message stating that it's free. If not, you can always contact iTunes Support and you should be able to make the case for a refund.
