My mac won't add music to my iphone, but i don't want to sync it and lose the music already on my phone??

My new mac won't add music to my iphone... i read ther answers and it said to sync a playlist, and i tried but it said it would delete my music i already have on my phone? So i want to know how to add music to my phone without deleting what's already on my phone?
