Q: How do I set up the Airport Time Capsule to enhance an existing Wi Fi network, as opposed to having a second Wi Fi network?

I have just set up my Air Port Time Capsule and would like to know which settings I change to enhance my existing Wi Fi network, as opposed to creating another Wi Fi network?

 

Any assistance will be appreciated.

    It is uber simple.

     

    Give the TC to create a wireless network.. same name as the SSID of existing wireless.. same security.. should be WPA2 AES = WPA2 Personal and same password.

     

    Usually auto channels is ok to separate them but if you need to give it a jab.. just use manual channels.. set main router to channel 1 for instance and TC to 6 or 11 for 2.4ghz.. 5ghz is not so much of an issue usually.

     

    Apple has notes here on this setup but you can use different router not just two apple routers.
