mouse doesn't move, it clicks ok but no movement

Hi, I've had to return to a USB mouse due to my mouse not moving. It will allow me to click but the cursor does not move. I have tried the PHRAM reset (from other searched topics).

I have just had my imac serviced due to faulty visuals(left screen darker then right) and wonderring if this has created the issue.

Latest updates installed, mouse sensor cleaned more then once since issue occurred as well fresh batteries.

Any thoughts would help, that would be apprecitive.

thanks, yes tried the surfaces as well the trouble shooting guide. I will however try the trouble shooting guide again.

I wonder if this is a case of replace unit?

I notice your reply to Relly114. If the mouse is less than 12 months old. it is classified as hardware and carries a 12 month guarantee ... always assuming any fault is not caused by improper use or damage.

Try using it on a different surface such as a mouse mat or table, as bizzare as it may seem this can dramatically affect the mouse movement.

Further, I have tried the trouble shooitng guide with no result. seems its back to the shop,

unless there is another option.
