Question

Disk drive not supported (Error code 0x80020025

I can read DVD and CD, but when I insert a blank to burn I get "disk can not be used because the disk drive is not supported. (Error code 0x80020025)

I am using the stock burner.

Power Mac G5, Mac OS X (10.4.7)

I have the same problem on my PowerBook G4 with the CD/DVD +/-RW. I am having so many issues with this computer right now and trying to backup my iphot libraries onto cds or dvds because they have issues being copied to any of my external drives....

This article suggests that resetting the PRAM may solve your problem.

I tried to play a DVD that was currently in the internal DVD drive that I had played but not ejected the day before. I started the Apple DVD player software and it gave an error saying that it could not find a DVD drive. I found this posting re: re-set of PRAM and it worked. Thanks
