I have a gift card code that I'd like to redeem (before I lose it) but don't have a device with iTunes loaded. Is there any way to log into my iTunes account without having iTunes actually installed on my computer/device?

Here's the point of me trying to do this...I have a situation where I have a gift card or gift code but am unable to redeem it due to not having access to my iPad or a computer with iTunes. Gift card...easy to lose right? So I'd rather have the money on that card/code sitting in my iTunes account where it's safe than on an easy-to-lose/misplace card.
Anyway, I thought as much about the iTunes requirement. Although it's odd that I can log into the apple website with my id/password without iTunes. So clearly my account information is accessable without iTunes. Anyway, appreciate the responses.
Same issue, have older ipod touch and can't redeem through iTunes per online instructions and can't redeem through web browser via my apple account. This is short sighted on the coders part. I don't have this problem with my android devices I can put dollars into my google account via web browser login to my account on any pc/apple/Linux device. Only apple forces me to install iTunes on devices that I would rather not. Will sell the card and the ipod and put that money into my google account.
I don't have my iPad or any other device with iTunes with me. I want to get the gift card logged into my account.

Again, that's just how it works. You can only access the iTunes Store through iTunes or an iOS device. If you don't have any of those and can't install iTunes on your computer, you'll just have to keep your cards in a safe place.

You cannot redeem a gift card without either an iOS device or iTunes on a computer. If you don't have either, though, I don't see much point in redeeming the card since you can only make a purchase from the iTunes Store via iTunes or an iOS device.

Apoligies. I misread; I thought you said that you didn't have an iPad or a computer with iTunes, not just that you didn't currently have access to one or the other.
Your Apple ID is used for much more than accessing the iTunes Store, and many of those services are available through a standard web browser. The iTunes Store however, cannot. Again, the Store can only be accessed via iTunes or an iOS device. You'll have to wait until you have access to one or the other to redeem that card.
