    Export the photos to a folder on the desktop via File ➙ Export ➙ File Export menu option. Burn the folder to disk with the Finder.

     

    The following User Tip by Terence Devlin is the best treatise on how to access photos (for use outside of iPhoto):  How to Access Files in iPhoto.  It will describe the different methods of exporting to get the file you want.
