I recorded an interview in Voice Memos on my iPhone5, emailed it to my iMac and am wondering how to get the m4a file into iTunes. My intent is to copy it to Dropbox and email the link to someone who can transcribe it.

Why put it in iTunes?
Why not simply email the file to whoever is going to transcribe it?

Why not simply email it from your iPhone to whoever is going to transcribe it?
Or simply save it to dropbox from the iPhone?
Or save it from your computer to dropbox?
Because I am unable to drag it to iTunes for my records. The thing does not drag.
But I was able to right click, open it with the iTunes app from the drop down menu which automatically puts it in iTunes.

Email the file directly from your iPhone to whoever you want (instead of to yourself).
Or send it to your Dropbox directly from your iPhone.
If you need a copy for yourself, it will sync back to iTunes when you sync you iPhone.
Aha, the information in the last line is what I was was after. I imagine it syncs it to Voice Memos.
