Q: Why is the tax so high when purchasing an app?
Just purchased Final Cut Pro X on the app store...tax was $20...was not expecting that! I don't remember paying this type of tax on previous apps.

You pay the standard sales tax charged by the state in which you live. You always pay that sales tax on any purchase through Apple.
