I have purchased a new mac air. was trying to sort the pics.
1. when i sort the pic in the finder , it is not sorting properly
2. there is no option of sorting the pics in ascending or descending order
3. how to rename multiple pics as one

Hi, I had this problem and the following worked for me. I had the Arrange by set to Name, but the names were in descending order and I couldn't click on the "name" column to reverse the sort as one usually does. I changed the "arrange by" to NONE and then I was able to click on the column name and sort accordingly. Hope this helps you. It's very frustrating!
After I changed the sort from descending to ascending by clicking on the column name I was able to go back and click the Arrange By back to name, or kind, what ever and it was in ascending order 🙂
