ipod touch 4th gen is plugged in2 a power source with the usb cord & the ipod will not charge.

i am able to plug into a power source, and the low battery will show, with a lightening bolt, then after a couple minutes it does turn on then it will bring up the lock page and allows me to unlock the device, then the low battery 20% message shows, lasts about a minute then turns off. and will cycle that as long as it is plugged in, the usb cord is brand new and 2 other usb cords have been tried. Is it possible to get htis issue fixed and what is it price wise (estimate if you can)?

Not Charge

- See:

iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting

- Try another cable.

- Try another charging source

- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.

- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $199 for 64 GB 4G and $99 for the other 4Gs. They do not fix yours.

A third-party place like the following maybe less. Google for more.

Fix ityourself if you are up to it. Tht is hard to do if you do not know the cause
