Sadly my 4,1 Macbook can't upgrade from OSX 10.6.8 because it doesn't meet Maverick's system requirements. Therefore I can't download iBook Autor 2 and I still want to sell books through the platform. Please help me find out how to dowload the original iBook Author app. I can't get it through the App Store.

I don't think there is any way to do what you want. Instead publish your books in .epub format. The Apple app for that is Pages.
