Q: forgot passcode I put phone on recovery mote but it will ask for passcode

Your iPhone does not have to have been previously synced to a computer to use recovery mode.

recovery mode will erase evrything- but you can still do it on any pc with itunes doesnt have to have been sync'd

recovery mode

open itunes on computer

plug cable into computer not iOS device

turn device off

hold home button and plug cable into IOS device.  do not release home button until an itunes graphic appears on IOS device.

look to computer should have message about recovery mode click ok and restore
