I purchased an IPAD in September for my daughter. I would like to buy a case, but I'm not sure what type of IPAD it is (IPAD 2 or 3) without asking her. Is there anyway to view my this with my apple ID?

It should tell you, as the buyer, on your receipt. If it was bought from Apple, ask in the store what model their receipt relates to. At the same time you could ask about a matching case. 😀 I suppose the same applies wherever you bought it.
Thank you. I will look for my receipt tonight. I was hoping that there was some way that it was tracked on my apple account, but I'm guessing its not. In any case, I appreciate your help. 🙂
For information on your iPad (model, date of production, etc) then enter your serial number at this site. Information, based on the serial number, will be shown. http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.html
The S/N is located on the back/bottom of the iPad. Or get the Model # and look at this link. You may need a magnifier to read this info.
