Here's a YouTube tutorial video :

It used all of my cores... A 10 minutes 1080p will take about 10 minutes to encode. Setting a 1080p to encode at 4000 kbps, the quality is amazing. (A 1080p video should be set at the default 8150 kbps.) Small videos sizes (720p) encode very fast (almost real time). Encoding a DVD (2 hours) to h.265 might fit on a CD. You can also use the VLC player to playback the videos if you wish too.

I'm amazed so far!!!

It craps out every time. I tried to compile several different movies with HEVC 1080p setting on two different Macs and I get error "2" (unknown exception) every single time. Tried a variety of formats. I think the only one that worked was a short H.264 clip I shot on my Panasonic GH3. Everyone of the other one fails to compile.

I am more than willing to work with the developers to try to find a solution - but why should I ? It's not ready for prime time.
